5 Tweets to Sum Up Social Media for Nonprofits in Seattle

We sponsored another hit event with Social Media for Nonprofits — this time we brought the fire to Seattle!  The energy and the group was awesome… Twitter traffic was off the hook.

Out of an endless stream of great tweeting, we pulled 5 tweets for #SM4NP that share some of the key takeaways from what we learned:
  • “Social is in front of media for a very obvious reason: sociology, then technology.”  |  @NPTech_Ash tweeted by @katieshuck
  • “$300 BILLION bucks given by individuals to cause annually.” Wowza. Oh, and of course it’s moving online at a huge rate!  |  @davidjboyce1 tweeted by @SeattleWorks
  • “The way we digest information is through the context of our friends.”  |  @Charlesporch tweeted by @SM4Nonprofits
  • “Volunteers become spokespersons when recognized and have a sense of ownership in the cause.”  |  @matthewmahan tweeted by @terryloving
  • “If you want people to engage in your community, your staff better be willing to invest in it.”  |  @ntenhross tweeted by @sjmildren
If you haven’t attended the conference yet, definitely check the site for the next Social Media for Nonprofits conference in your area…  Next up, 11/4 in San Francisco!

Happy fundraising!
