How the new Facebook can help your non-profit

The new Facebook just might be your non-profit’s new best friend.

In a recent blog post for socialbrite.org  , social media expert John Haydon highlights how features of the new Facebook “subscribe” button have the potential to make your non-profit more open and accessible to the public than ever.

Fundly, too, understands the importance of using social media to your advantage; our social fundraising   platform has an application that allows people to link an update to their Facebook and Twitter profiles after they’ve made a donation. This creates a ripple effect that increases funds raised by up to 52 percent!

John also recommends that non-profits allow fans and supporters to connect with individual spokespeople within the organization to increase “organizational touch points.” This will also give a personal touch to your outreach and will ultimately give people more chances to connect with each other, John says.

In addition to explaining how to identify top supporters, John’s piece also advises how to enhance your brand transparency and search profile.

We like the way you think, John! Looking forward to more words of wisdom.
