The Newest Craze in Youth Fundraising

Cookies, cupcakes, candies and other sweets may sound really yummy and good way to raise funds. Bake sales may work well as a youth fundraising activity but the cost and other expenses will actually be more than you can handle. Car washfundraising events are a better choice, but it would not really jive well with a youth-oriented cause, especially when you start thinking about the stereotype car washes that make a huge profit. What is brought to the mind is totally unwholesome with emphasis on the prefix “un”.
Bake sales are roasted

They might have worked in the 1970s to the 1980s. Yes, homemade delicacies are indeed making a comeback nowadays but they are just futile attempts for youth fundraising. They might be great as a profitable hobby as well. Your cause should be relevant to the audience you are targeting but your activity should be more relevant to the cause. Good thing that the internet age has made it easily possible to create online fundraising. Say goodbye to endless hours of baking, packaging and selling only to find out that you have barely raised a rent. Say hello to sitting back, relaxing and doing more important things and just being able to check how much funds you have already raised at the comfort of your own home. Yup, there is even no need to rent out an office.

Youth fundraising Online

As youth fundraisers, going online is the best possible way to raise funds. You simple create and set up an account, invite people to take a look-see, advertise through social networking sites and other free modes of advertising, go and run some errands and check back in the evening if you have indeed raised any funds. You get to say goodbye to endless nights of back-breaking baking, feet blisters and muscle fatigue from beating the pavement and knocking on doors to sell your goodies, sore throat due to hours of endless yapping about your cause, and to the sad realization that you actually lost money instead of raising them.
When you bring your youth fundraising online, you save money, effort and you are able to reach a far wider audience. According to statistical studies, Americans have donated more than ten billion dollars through online fundraising gimmicks. Would it not be really sweet to get even just a tiny portion of that giant pie?
When to start your Youth Fundraising campaign?

Or the more appropriate question is, “what are you waiting for?”. There is no better time to start youth fundraising than right now. But first things first, before you go and create that online forum to raise funds, check with the local authorities and have your cause registered. Nothing says “fraud” like an unregistered forum that asks for money! Also, it would help to have a professional looking website. You do not have to make it really extravagant, but it just has to at least give the impression of credibility. It would also help if you advertised the old fashioned way, through print advertising or its modern yet inexpensive counterpart, mobile messaging!
